What's Blooming on the Farm - Late Summer 2021

See what's blooming at Hideaway Flowers this season.

Zinnias

The workhorses of the summer cutting garden, zinnias come in a dazzling array of colors and varieties. Blooms can range in size from dainty, circular filler for bouquets to large, bright focal flowers. No matter what variety you grow, you can never go wrong with zinnias!

Celosia

Nothing beats walking through a row of blooming celosia to make you feel like you're in a real-life fairy tale; their tall, whimsical blooms waving happily in the breeze as you walk by. Perhaps one of the most productive cut flowers you can grow, celosia blooms all summer long and actually becomes more productive the more you cut.

Black Eyed Susan

These well-known flowers and their happy yellow faces just scream summer. Perennial varieties offer heaps of sunshiney color year after year, while more intricate annual varieties add interest and a pop of color to bouquets.

Yarrow

This perennial must-grow is a new one to us at Hideaway and we just can't get enough of it! Its intricate, tiny flowers look like an unreal piece of artwork. It also dries well for use in dried arrangements. We will definitely be growing much more of this in years to come!
